If there’s a boulder to climb or river to swim, there’s Ross – a self-confessed childhood explorer. With time spent camping and trekking in the UK and French Alps – he has developed a unique talent for pitching tents on any terrain. Ross has a strong background in youth leading, following his involvement in The Air Training Corps and Duke of Edinburgh Award. He then continued as an ATC Adventure Training Instructor with Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition groups.
Holding the Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor and the International Mountain Leader qualifications, Ross seeks every opportunity to work in an environment he continues to love. He is comfortable with all ability levels and group sizes and enjoys teaching new skills to others. With expedition experience from Peru to Borneo and Tanzania to Alaska, Ross prioritises organisation and safety – with some bad jokes thrown in for good measure!
We always receive comments on how Ross can motivate anyone to the top of a mountain...and back down again, with immense encouragement and support.
Ross is a firm believer in making ideas happen and can regularly be seen tapping up local contacts for his latest event idea. He also operates as an Incident Manager for Pharos Response. On the 8th day of Ross’ week, he’ll be working on the latest recce project for a client, enjoying family walks with Nonny-dog or climbing with friends at the Beacon Climbing Centre. Ross is a great ‘fixer’ and known Patagonia clothing lover.
